The city of Cumming, Georgia, is a smallish town, but it’s loaded with outdoor activities. From hot air balloon rides to petting zoos, there’s something for everyone. Check out our list below for just a few of our favorites.

1. Balloons Over Georgia

To see Georgia from above, Balloons Over Georgia is a must-see. You’ll have spectacular views of Lake Lanier, Kennesaw Mountains, and the Atlanta skyline. Abundant wildlife and beautiful scenery are also visible from above. It’s a daytime excursion you’ll never forget.

2. Cumming City Park

This beautiful park is located near many activities in Cumming. If you’re looking for somewhere to take the kids, they recently renovated the playground with lots of toys and equipment to play on. There’s also plenty of room to have a picnic lunch while enjoying the natural surroundings.

3. Big Creek Greenway

If you’re looking to learn more about conservation, this park educates the public about environmental causes. It has 11 miles of paved trails through the park. Outdoor enthusiasts can hike, bike, or skate on the trails.

4. Blue Ridge Aerial Adventure Park

For those looking for a real adventure, this park will challenge you with many different courses. There are three different levels of obstacles that get more difficult as you climb higher. Some of the activities include zip lines, suspended bridges, tight ropes, and climbing walls. The longest zipline is an incredible 125 feet long. This is an unforgettable adventure for the whole family.

5. Georgia Glamping Co.

If you’ve never heard of “glamping” before, it’s camping with a little glamour added in. The glamour part of staying at this campground means modern comforts such as soft sheets with hotel-quality beds. There’s also electricity at the campground, so you have air conditioning, a mini-fridge, and a coffee

maker. The idea is to enjoy the outdoors all day long and sleep in comfort at night. No sleeping on the ground in a hot tent when you’re glamping! The sites also have a hammock, fire pit, and grill.

6. Warbington Farms

It’s no surprise that kids love animals. The Warbington Farms petting zoo is one of the best around. Along with the animals, there’s a large playground area. You can also rent “party barns” there for family gatherings. The barn area includes a pavilion, private bonfire area, and lots of room to gather.

7. Fowler Park

With over 85 acres to play on, this park is a must-see for outdoor lovers. There’s a six-mile path through the park that’s ideal for running, hiking, and biking. Other activities include tennis, basketball, baseball, and skateboarding. Another bonus is a large dog park. Dog lovers love nothing more than to let their pets run off some energy. They definitely have room to do that there.
